- Always burn the candle long enough for the wax to melt across the entire diameter on every burn to avoid tunneling, which can impact how well the candle burns. Depending on the size of our candles, typically 1-2 hours is the "safe burn" period time. Our candles are sized accordingly to have more burn periods than a longer burn time, so they are controlled and safe. When the wax melts all the way to the outside of the jar, this increases your fragrance-throw and provides an equal burn. All of our "new product line" candles contain 100% coconut wax, and we have carefully sourced our fragrances we use to manufacture our candles. Candle science and fragrance research has come a long way, and the number one concern today is the materials and if the fragrances are safe when burning. Well, we have carefully sourced our materials, and we are pound to say that we only use 100% "clean scents", meaning every single candle we offer is formulated without phthalates and goes one step further by also avoiding the five main hazard groups.
- Our original candles come with a high-quality patented crackling wooden wick. The wooden wicks we use are FSC certified, this means forest management certification. FSC-certified forests are managed to strict environmental, social and economic standards. It confirms that forests are being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity, and benefits the lives of local people, and workers. It is always good practice and recommended to remove or trim the blackened tops after a full burn cycle to light the wooden wick and to have a proper burn.
- Our new products come with CD wicks, which are coreless, flat braided cotton wicks with paper fibers woven throughout, designed for consistent burn with high fragrance loads. Widely used in candle manufacturing, they promote maximum capillary action and ensure proper flame posture. CD wicks usually do not require maintenance as they are self-trimming and provide a great even flame.
